Product Development in a nutshell

DC Dutch Charme is a development of Dutch designers. The company Shoe Concept B.V.
gives all efforts to develop this collection and is capable of bringing these demanding
products to the right factories.

The signature of DC, requires skilled supervision from sketch to finished article.
The design is ready, lasts shapes, soles and heels are in development and prototypes follow. The materials have been selected with care. The factory makes the salessamples
and the sales to the stores starts.

Brief explanation about production…
These sophisticated factories work with modern engines, like the “waterjet” and “automatic cutting device”. The gain from the waterjet is that the skin is cutted by water (by way of computer) and therefore remains unaffected. Due to this modern methods it is possible to produce lower quantities and more exclusive products.

The leather patterns go the stitching department where they are stitched with the help of sewing machine and work of man. The upper is pulled over the last, to get the shape of the last, the sole will be glued or stitched to the upper. This package, upper, last and sole, is going into a furnace and then into a cooler engine in order to activate the glue process. The last will be taken out,
glue spots and all other imperfect elements will be carefully removed.

A well experienced qualitycontroller inspects the shoes. Shoes are carefully packed in DC boxes and trucked, sorted and distributed to all the stores. Once delivered at the stores the shoes finally arrive in consumers hands or better said, feet.

Shoes are always made for a main part by work of man and therefore unique.
